Description
The version of the Sharebar plugin for WordPress installed on the
remote host is affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability
because it fails to properly sanitize user input to the ‘status’
parameter of the ‘sharebar-admin.php’ script before using it to
generate dynamic HTML output. An attacker may be able to leverage
this to inject arbitrary HTML and script code into a user’s browser to
be executed within the security context of the affected site.
Note that the plugin is likely also to have an associated SQL
injection vulnerability, however Nessus has not checked for that.
