Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in download_plugin.php3 in F5 Firepass 4100 SSL VPN 5.4 through 5.5.2 and 6.0 through 6.0.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the backurl parameter.
The bug was discovered 06/19/2007. The weakness was published 11/13/2007 by Adrian Pastor with ProCheckUp (Website). The advisory is shared at securitytracker.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-5979 since 11/14/2007. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
