Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Cisco Guard DDoS Mitigation Appliance before 5.1(6), when anti-spoofing is enabled, allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via certain character sequences in a URL that are not properly handled when the appliance sends a meta-refresh.

The bug was discovered 09/20/2006. The weakness was disclosed 09/21/2006 with Cisco (Website). The advisory is shared at cisco.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-4909 since 09/20/2006. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but an exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
